Yamakan is directing 90 second OP for 801-chan
Gigazine reports that volume 4 of Tonari no 801-chan will come with a 90 second opening animation DVD called Tonari no 801-chan R and it’ll be directed by Kannagi director Yamakan with sound producer Nishimura Masatoshi and song composed by A-Bee.
The vocalist for the song will be decided via an audition held through nico nico douga and viewers will get to select the vocalist through an online vote. The DVD will be released with the comic on 10th of September.
Mainichi is also reporting about this with hints that seem to say that actual anime eps will also be made after the OP is released, but no other source hints at anything more than just the OP and Mainichi has a history that they seem to get anime news from secondary sources and sometimes make errors in their anime related news.
