The reason why Tange Sakura is in Love Plus

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

hoeeee

Kobayakawa Rinko from Love Plus is voiced by Tange Sakura and the character is also known as Kaiun Shoujo Happy Come Rinko.

I guess the staff forced Tange Sakura back into voice acting just so they can make her voice a magical girl character once again!

The magical girl thing is apparently one of the “dream events” which take place inside the dreams of the protagonist, so it’s not something that happens in “real life” (whatever that is).

What is Atelier Rorona trying to do

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

rorona

Written on the back of the Atelier Rorona game package:

  • The game is made in full 3D, allowing movie-like scenes!
  • Full voice events! Extremely powerful battle scenes!
  • Experience game scenes that will move your heart!
  • Reality: Atelier Rorona battle video (gametrailers)

Of course, anybody that played Atelier would know that the focus of the game is on barrels and not battles! Actually I don’t know why they’re even advertising the battles for an atelier game that is supposed to be returning to classic atelier.

The game will be released in 5 days and I’m no longer sure if I dare to buy the game without reading comments from other players first.

    Love Plus release date announced

    Friday, June 19th, 2009

tokimekiImpress game watch reports that the new Konami love simulation game Love Plus will be released on the 3rd of September. A great looking trailer for the game has also been uploaded to Youtube. I wasn’t completely sure if the game would work, but the trailer made it look pretty interesting now!

    Tankoubon sales sorted by magazine

    nishioriroland

All sales taken from Oricon rankings. Manga that aren’t in the list probably either didn’t sell enough to be in the rankings or didn’t have a release during the time these were written. Probably some manga were left out accidently too.

There are magazines missing too, but I don’t want to add any more! Kirara? Young Jump? Shounen Ace? What’s that?

Yamakan is directing 90 second OP for 801-chan

    Friday, June 19th, 2009

801hamehaGigazine reports that volume 4 of Tonari no 801-chan will come with a 90 second opening animation DVD called Tonari no 801-chan R and it’ll be directed by Kannagi director Yamakan with sound producer Nishimura Masatoshi and song composed by A-Bee.

The vocalist for the song will be decided via an audition held through nico nico douga and viewers will get to select the vocalist through an online vote. The DVD will be released with the comic on 10th of September.

Mainichi is also reporting about this with hints that seem to say that actual anime eps will also be made after the OP is released, but no other source hints at anything more than just the OP and Mainichi has a history that they seem to get anime news from secondary sources and sometimes make errors in their anime related news.

    Marvelous Entertainment stuff

    namidame

Marvelous Entertainment also made a post on the staff blog for Little King’s Story where they mentioned that games such as No more heroes, Rune Factory F, Oboromuramasa, Arc Rise Fantasia etc were all games that they have tried their best to make under very limited time and budget but all of these games have experienced similar shipment numbers, all of which are not very high. And he feels like crying.

Non-human heroines might possibly be restricted

    Friday, June 12th, 2009

    kusogaaaa

Norn (NSFW) has announced in their online newsletter that the Norn games that are currently in development cannot be delivered into the hands of their fans without any modifications.

The character settings, situations, and the game title are against regulation, and a lot of problems have popped up.

The developers are trying their best right now to be able to provide a game that the fans want with the minimum amount of modifications.

A lot is happening in the industry right now because of the regulations this time around, but Norn will try their best to make a game that will satisfy their users.

Norn also reports that the various sides are still having negotiations right now, but there is currently a possibility that games featuring non-human heroines (robots, elves, cat girls, vampires etc) may no longer be accepted for sale.

Games featuring Impregnation or having babies may also get the same treatment.

However, Norn staff says that even if something like that happens, they will try their best to do whatever they can to get their games to their fan.

    Norn belongs in the CSA.

I guess the push for restrictions on non-human heroines might be to close that loophole to seriously tighten loli restrictions.

If it really happens… I guess stuff like Tsukihime will be down.

    Ugh.

I can’t order “all in” at jangara anymore because Umehara says “all in” is only for novices.

    Dokimajo+ promotional video released
It actually looks interesting!? I had completely lost interest after the novelty of the first game wore off, but this actually looks interesting again. The first 10 seconds of the movie might have helped a lot in making it interesting. Maybe.

Grimoire of Marisa release date announced
28th July. It’s a book that is supposed to be written by Marisa about the various spell cards that she has seen so far.

This is completely out of the blue, but I liked that manga so it’s great either way!

Institute of Contents Culture research meeting

    Friday, June 12th, 2009

    hantai

This is a report of the meeting by the Institute of Contents Culture which met to discuss the recent eroge censorship.

I thought it was kinda short and interesting so I translated it, and I soon realised I am never any good at estimating length. Also I might have started regretting actually translating this report somewhere around the point where the FBI was being mentioned. I don’t know how much to believe of this.

The report was by a person who sat in at the meeting and the report was approved by the relevant parties present in the meeting.
