Shana OVA & 3rd TV? and DTB2 new main char
Shana OVA announced, first volume will be released 23rd October. Animedia says that the new Shana anime project is to bring the Shakugan no Shana story to an end. But before they can make a 3rd TV series they need to touch on some of the character back stories, so they’re doing an OVA first for now.
The new main character for Darker Than Black 2 is a 13 year old half Russian half Japanese girl called something-something-chinko. I have no idea how to pronounce or write her name.

Seconding Nemo. There’s also Dmitri Pavlichenko, though he’s a current politician in the former Soviet nation of Belarus…a historical candidate seems more likely.

Considering how far they’ve deviated from the novel, it isn’t that bad, though it will sadden me to no longer be able to watch Shana and her delicious tsundere moments.

why would they change the main character to some random girl. and they changed the whole cast?? i really liked the show mainly because of Hei=( dat sucks now i dont want to watch it anymore=[ i was really looking forward to it. i hope his is a joke and is not true!!!!

i read somewhere that only the next manga was going to be completely changed from the first season. but i guess maybe not. i hope they dont but i dont really mind i’ll still watch it. no more Hei=[

You have got to be kidding me.
Why in the living hell would they just toss Hei aside, like this bullshit Russian pre-teen can take his place? If this is true, it will be an idiot move. It’s actually hurtful to me, to think he won’t return - they would just throw his character out like used batteries.
I will refuse to watch or read anything to do with this if Hei does not return for Darker 2. I sure hope a lot of people will agree with me.

x_x I was completely looking forward to seeing Yin and Hei in the 2nd season. If Hei isn’t in DTB 2 then I won’t even watch it.

I don’t think I’ll even bother if the new season doesn’t have Hei and Yin. But I was looking for tiddle bits of info, and founds some things hinting to both of them coming back, and a possibility of Mao? (How in the world would Mao come back? Reconnected, maybe?) But, let’s all hope Hei(and Yin) will come back. I surely hope they won’t throw away two amazing characters(and Misaki) and replace them with some pre-teens running around with powers. Oh, how scary that sounds. e_e

At least there’s a new manga continuing from the end of the anime?
