Manga on GanGan Online wiped from existence

eromanga

The tankoubon for the manga “Akuma to ore shirudaku” by Yoshikawa Hideaki which ran on Square Enix’s online magazine GanGan Online was supposed to be released on the 22nd this month, but it has been canceled now.

They did not stop at that though, as according to the author, the manga is no longer on the website and the name has been erased from their calender which lists chapter release dates for both old and new chapters too.

According to the author, he has asked if there is anyway they could get the tankoubon published in some way, but the decision was apparently made way up on top and neither the author nor his editor-in-charge can have any say in it. He would get no compensation for the decision too.

The manga was one of those borderline manga that really looks like eromanga but isn’t, and it featured tentacle play with lots of fluids too.

However according to the author’s blog, he has gotten offers from several other publishers to publish his work now, so it appears he is going to be okay.

The lack of compensation sucks and they could have been more diplomatic about it, but it’s good to know others will accept his work.

I assume that they are trying to avoid the ‘heat’ from what you have reported earlier. No one wants big bro to keep an eye on your things. You know?
