1 day Kigurumi Cafe Aokazetei

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

neeeeeyo

Kigurumi Cafe Aokazetei will apparently be opening for business for just one day on the 25th of July at Cafe & Bar DiCE from 10:00 to 16:00. In Aokazetei, all the waitresses will all be wearing full bodysuit costumes with masks so they can look totally cute and adorable like real anime characters.

For a while I thought the anime bodysuit thing had already completely faded out, but it’s still around!

They look totally cute and adorable like real anime characters.

I’m pretty sure I’ll have nightmares if I’m ever surrounded by them.

The results from the 801-chan anime OP niconico douga audition has been announced and the famous Bagyou no Fujoshi B & A has won.

Everybody probably already figured that the auditions was just to lure them out to sing for 801-chan but it’s still cool to know they won!

Back in May, famous Comic LO author Amagappashoujogun had announced that he is quitting manga for the time being, and that his last manga would be a horror manga published in August in an unnamed magazine.

Now Kindai Mahjong mahjong has revealed that Amagappashoujogun will have a mahjong horror manga in their magazine for the issue that will be released 1st of August.

Sure is pretty weird for that his final manga will be mahjong horror.

Manga and novel industry tightening censorship?

bokurano

Bokurano author Kitou Mohiro has announced on his site that the Bokurano special chapter that would have been on the next issue of IKKI has been canceled and will not be published at all. It sounds like he had already completed work on it too.

He says there is the possibility that he might still be able to get it out in some form in the future, but nothing is decided yet.

Square Enix’s GanGan Online has announced that the release of upcoming light novel “Kurai heya” by Karabe Yousuke has been canceled due to various unspecified reasons. It’s a complete new story so there is no information on the contents, but the title sounds like it might have been a horror story.

The author Karabe Yousuke says on his blog that he was told that the reason for the cancellation was because the story that he wrote was against the ethics regulations of the company. He made a proposal on how he could change the story, but it was apparently not a problem with how the ideas were expressed, and it was impossible for him to change the story in any way that could change their decision.

He had already submitted the manuscripts in April this year and was given the okay by the editor in charge but was suddenly informed of the decision to cancel the publication of the novel early this month.

Karabe Yousuke had previously written novels such as PSYCHE and has long been suspected to be eroge writer Setoguchi Renya who wrote the scenario for games such as Kira☆Kira and CARNIVAL before retiring from the eroge industry.

deruze

Somebody talked about playing Rorona without Japanese knowledge, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be really boring without understanding Japanese. The game’s mainly about making items and doing quests, most of the battles are optional and mostly a waste of time, and there’s no big awesome plot where the world is going to be destroyed.

Manga on GanGan Online wiped from existence

eromanga

The tankoubon for the manga “Akuma to ore shirudaku” by Yoshikawa Hideaki which ran on Square Enix’s online magazine GanGan Online was supposed to be released on the 22nd this month, but it has been canceled now.

They did not stop at that though, as according to the author, the manga is no longer on the website and the name has been erased from their calender which lists chapter release dates for both old and new chapters too.

According to the author, he has asked if there is anyway they could get the tankoubon published in some way, but the decision was apparently made way up on top and neither the author nor his editor-in-charge can have any say in it. He would get no compensation for the decision too.

The manga was one of those borderline manga that really looks like eromanga but isn’t, and it featured tentacle play with lots of fluids too.

However according to the author’s blog, he has gotten offers from several other publishers to publish his work now, so it appears he is going to be okay.

What is Illusion trying to do

kenkauttennoka

Illusion announced Yuusha kara wa negerarenai! on DQ9 launch day, but DQ knock offs are so common they don’t even need mentioning anymore! Then again on second look Illusion seems to be taking it a little further.

The priest character’s name is Enis Erauqs (Square Enix in reverse)

The elf character Eclair’s sample voice says:
“The noble princess knight with the nickname of Lightning of Lightning who is able to control magic at will, Eclair Molniya Relámpago Fulmen Lampo Blitz Astrapê Thirteen is here!”

éclair = Lightning in French
Molniya = Lightning in Russian
Relámpago = Lightning in Spanish
Fulmen = Lightning in Latin
Lampo = Lightning in Italian
Blitz = Lightning in German
Astrapê = Lightning in Greek
Thirteen = Thirteen in English

A few years ago a certain character from FF13 who was introduced as “the noble female knight with the nickname of Light Speed who is able to control gravity at will” was joked about a lot, but I can’t remember her name right now. (hint: Lightning)

Maybe they’ll also announce a nail artist ganguro fairy whose only role in the game is for everybody to beat her to death.

I hope Illusion survives the ninja attacks on their office.
