Details on Touhou Hisoutensoku
Touhou 12.3
5 new playable characters, only 3 of them will have story mode
New characters are Sanae, Cirno, Hong Meiling, and 2 other unnamed characters that will have no story mode
It’s an expansion for Hisouten, but it can be played without Hisouten, in which case only the 4 characters that appear in story mode and the 5 new characters will be playable
If Hisouten is available then the full roster of 15 + 5 characters will be playable

My guess is that the 2 other unnamed characters are quite possibly going to be the expansion’s boss characters.

I just noticed this, but the cover silhouette, normally reserved for EX bosses and the like, has been taken up by Cirno.

I, for one, am a bit disappointed. The style of gameplay Hisouten introduced was quite innovative and creative, but personally I preferred the fighting style in their previous iteration (Suimusou) over the once new Hisouten.
And here I was hoping for a callback to the good times of Suimusou…
