Fate/Extra dungeon RPG for the PSP
Latest Famitsu has revealed that Marvelous Entertainment is currently producing Fate/Extra, which is a dungeon crawler RPG based on Fate for the PSP. No real details on the game system are known yet. You can choose to play as a male or female character, and it looks like Rin and Shinji are in the game, also there’s a new Rider that’s different from the Stay Night Rider.

Director: Kadowaki Shouetsu (Blue Dragon, Luminous Arc 2)
Producer: Ninou Kazuya (Sekaijyu no meikyuu, 7th Dragon)
Ninou Kazuya was also recently announced to be the director for Capcom’s upcoming RPG Last Ranker. Why is he working on two projects for two different companies at the same time anyway.

Although Takeuchi’s the supervisor for the character designs, who’s actually the artist? I keep thinking that it looks like Raita Honjou’s work since he tends to draw rather lanky people.

Hmmm. just bought a PS3 and now I hear about all these RPGs going to the PSP. Problem is that I hear the UMD might become a dead medium in the future, and PSP Go is a DRM nightmare.
Dammit Sony. But if I had bought an Xbox to play JRPGs which are now getting ported to PS3 I would be even more pissed.
I’m also curious about all these RPGs supposedly on the DS. Well having played some RPGs where it takes 2 hours of grinding before you reach the next save point, I wonder how the genre manages to not be frustrating on a handheld platform.
…and I still have yet to finish the original FSN on the PC lol.

I don’t think UMD will be Dead Media as long as PSP exist. With the resurgence of PSP in Japan, there’re some UMD anime with budget price set to be released in UMD Anime form for some time now. And next year, there’ll be Code Geass UMD with its 9 vols at once and the next month after that, Code Geass R2 with the same way -_-’
From the look of the staff, this game is actually made by Imageepoch and published the MMV.
Can this game save MMV?
