New Lufia sequel
Famitsu has revealed that Square Enix will be releasing a new sequel to Estpolis (aka Lufia), details will be in this week’s Famitsu.
I hope it’s totally awesome like it should be!
Edit: Forgot to mention the game will be by the original staff from Lufia 1/2

Hope they get it right this time. I’m wincing at the memory of some of the handheld releases.

You should mention that it has the original staff from Lufia 1/2, because that’s the only thing giving me hope for it at the moment!

Saw this news earlier and must say, it makes me quite happy. Also didn’t know the original staff from Lufia 1/2. Not to say I didn’t enjoy Lufia 3, but 1/2 (mainly 2 to be honest, 1 ages a bit bad) are still good to back and play now and then. I am a bit curious in the usual “100 years later/earlier” time period this game will fall in though. Need some Arek the Absolute explaining!

It’s the same staff as Lufia 1/2? Well, I guess I can look forward to it then, though I’ve long since learned my lesson about getting excited due to nostalgia. Need more information!

If the GBA and GBC games were any indication, we can expect a game full of formulaic crap, except now that it’s squeen!x, it will be well polished formulaic crap.
Well, I’d still buy it anyway! That’s bad right.
Hoping for PSP release, then it will be formulaic but absolutely fucking beautiful.

Square is only publishing though. Do they really have that much say in how the game will be made? Probably not?
