Circus office up in flames

Livedoor news reports that a fire had broken out at the offices of eroge maker Circus. The cause of the fire is not yet known and there has not been any comment from Circus about the incident yet, but the local fire station in the area has commented that approximately half of the office have been damaged by the fire.
Circus had just announced a bunch of Da Capo projects and a bright future recently too. Man.
Update: Staff from Circus has posted on the Circus official BBS saying that nobody was hurt and their work has not been affected. They also say there will probably not be any delays on the release date, but an official statement will be made on a later date.

Of course fires are always bad news, but yeah — here they are in the midst of their 10th anniversary celebration, and likely only days away from having the golden master for their latest product. I hope it turns out to be an accident.

I really hope nothing was lost. I can imagine some of the things in there must be irreplaceable…and Circus was getting some things done for Manga Gamers too >_<

I hope they have backups for stuff that may have been lost during this.

I believe if someone were hurt, that’d be big enough news to warrant another ‘comment’ by the local fire station…

They’re pros, of course they backed stuff up. That’s why they’re saying they didn’t lose anything.
Illustrates the importance of off-site backup, though. Nothing worse than a fire taking out the main backup computer along with the machines it’s backing up…
