Ex-Shounen Jump artist trying to sell manuscripts

zenki

Kuroiwa Yoshihiro, better known as the author of ZENKI, has posted on his blog saying that he wishes to sell his original manga manuscripts to anybody that wants it.

It doesn’t matter if the person wishes to buy it for personal use or for anything else. I’ll be happy as long as somebody buys them.

I want to sell them at over 10,000 yen (111 usd) per page.

Sasuke is approximately 200 pages, so it’ll go for 2,000,000 yen and above.

Baryon is approximately 200 pages, so it’ll go for 2,000,000 yen and above.

Asuka is two vols at approx. 400 pages, so it’ll go for 4,000,000 yen and above.

Pages cannot be sold separately, but it’s fine if somebody wants to buy an entire vol.

The three titles that he’s trying to sell are all comics that ran in Shounen Jump. Except they are all his early works that got cut from the magazine after a very short run.

Also he comments on a newer post saying that he has had enough of manga and he hates manga now. He’s going to try his hand at novel writing now and hopefully be able to make a living from that.

Wow, that’s pretty damn expensive and pretty damn sad that he is quitting manga.

All the best for his novel works, I guess.
