Both Nanoha the movie and Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works went on cinemas on the same day on the 23rd of January.

Nanoha was screened at 19 cinemas across Japan, accumulating 61,292,300 yen at the box office with 39,863 people having watched it. That means an average of approximately 3,220,000 yen per cinema in two days.

Fate/Stay Night was screened at 12 cinemas across Japan, accumulating 37,699,500 yen in the box office with 24,407 people watching it, coming to an average of approximately 3,140,000 yen per cinema over two days.

Also the sales of goods for Nanoha at Shinjuku Mirano 1 on the first day hit 11,959,025 yen (total sales for one cinema), which beat the record set by Evangelion by 167%.

It’s pretty hard to comment on anything when both movies are a big success.
