I like Roka but the other heroines are pretty forgettable honestly. The thing about Cross Days is that it is varied enough that you can pretty much see the story you want to see with it.
I don’t have anywhere near the 30 or so endings the game is supposed to have yet though. I don’t think this game will be as tough to ‘crack’ as France Shoujo was but jesus fuck it’s still pretty convoluted compared to School Days

Believe it or not, the Yuu x Makoto route is the most romantic thing in any of the games 0verflow have released. THE MOST. Of course, that doesn’t really say all that much given that this is 0verflow we’re talking about but still

I played through the game few times — reading through the scenes. While there are traps in the game (including the homosexual stuff — and all appears as a consequence of a specific action against Sekai at a specific point — no spoilers), the other parts are somewhat more light toned than I would think it is.
Anyway, I am quite happy actually get to see Makoto got beat up \o/ haha

As a reference to the level of difficulty of Japanese in the game — I think it is understandable to high degree if you can understand (not full comprehension of every word) raw manga (there are Japanese subtitles and the game can be paused, so you can follow the text as in real manga). Probably a few semesters of Japanese course will be sufficient.
