Precure all-stars DX2 event for 18 and above only

precure

Toei has announced that there will be an all-night screening event for Precure on the 3rd of April in commemoration of the new Precure all-stars DX2 movie. The event will start at 17:30 and they’ll watch a bunch of Precure movies and end at 05:00 the next day.

However for this event, no children under the age of 18 are allowed to attend, not even if they have a guardian with them.

I guess they’re not even going to pretend that this is supposed to be a children’s show anymore!

Don’t know,i think it could be something because it is a marathon that still continues after midnight into the morning,so you need to be an adult for that.

I think they have been shooting for both demographics from the beginning, but recently felt that adult fans need some more love?

If I hadn’t already gone to see DX2 in that very theater… I’d so be there…

But honestly, all 8 pretty cure movies in a row?
It’s a good deal, though, for 4200 yen… That’s only 600 yen a film, plus you get to see the four seiyuus live, too. Although man oh man, what a crowd it’ll be… Dammit, I’m convincing myself to go just for the anthropological research.

I’d go if I was in Japan!

This is likely related to the fact that minors are not allowed to watch movies that run past 8 pm in Tokyo, and also in my home prefecture of Gunma, for “protection of youth from harmful things” rules, e.g. a curfew. Although it’s weird, I actually support it, as a parent. Kids aren’t allowed into video game centers after a certain time, either.

Supposedly the tickets to this sold out in 1 minute.

Prices are now up to 20,000 yen on yahoo auctions for the originally 4200 yen tickets…
