Otaroad blog reports that Lass’ latest eroge 11eyes is starting to get sold out in stores in Nipponbashi. I haven’t seen many negative comments on the story for 11eyes (unlike Tsuyokiss 2), maybe I should try it out next week or something.

Komatsunaya has released a Hatsune Miku typing game called Byoukan Vocaloid Typing free for download for a limited time. You’re supposed to type every letter from A to Z and the lower your score the better.

I was watching the incredibly funny Pangya Japan Cup finals today and they made a surprise announcement that the online fantasy golf game Pangya will be having a collaboration event with Hatsune Miku. Details for the event will be announced on the 22nd.

Doujin circle NRF who made BigBangBeat and had a internal conflict and broke into pieces, has announced the doujin 2D fighter Million KNights Vermilion and a trailer is available at their site. They’ve got some really good looking character dot art going on in there.

The character designs are by Sogabe Shuji who did Senko no Ronde.

But what really surprised me was that Tokyo Kids is working on the character animations. Because Tokyo Kids is a professional animation studio that has been around for many years and has worked on anime such as AYAKASHI and Gurren Lagann (though not as the main animators for Gurren)

The game is announced for the PC and is still a doujin game at this point, but it looks as if they’re prepared to push it all the way to the arcades with all these professionals working on it.

Japanese movie review site Chou eiga hihyou has given the upcoming Higurashi movie the awesome rating of 10 out of 100! The movie will be officially out on the 10th of May, it seems really hopeful now that the movie will be a huge success!

The reviewer says that the original game was attractive because it seemed like a love comedy with cute characters at first and slowly became violent and gruesome, but in a live action movie, such situations have already been done to death and it doesn’t seem to be anything special. And stuff about how you have to play the game to enjoy the movie.

I’m pretty late on this, but ZUN had updated on his blog announcing that they will be selling the trial version of Touhou Chireiden, the next instalment in the Touhou series, at the coming Reitaisai on the 25th of May. The trial version will also be a downloadable from their website some time after the event.

It looks like you can select between different youkai partners this time, and the graze system is back again.

The Frontier Works website has announced that they will be expanding Umineko no naku koro ni onto other media starting this summer. I hope they aren’t going to announce an anime, it still feels too early in the story to have an anime already.

Akibablog reports that KFC has told the Akihabara branch to stop dressing Colonel Sanders in a maid costume apparently, so he has been returned to his original self.

Tasogare Frontier has updated their site with a new demo for their upcoming Touhou fighting game, Touhou Hisouten. It’s available from the download page. Reimu, Marisa, Alice, and Shameimaru! are available and Reimu’s story mode is playable up till stage 3.

They haven’t yet announced it on the Tasogare Frontier website, but the full version of the game will be released at the coming Reitaisai on the 25th of May.

Eroge brand Windmill has released their custom ADV engine called CatSystem2 to the public. The CatSystem2 engine is free for personal use or for making doujin games, but they have not yet decided if it will be free for commercial use.

CatSystem2 is the same engine that Windmill uses to make their games so it should be useful for people looking for another alternative free ADV game engine.

Famitsu has a report on the Alchemist event held yesterday where they officially announced Higurashi Daybreak PSP together with some screenshots from the game. The characters and graphics sure look really different!

Rakuten Soutahouse has updated with a list of upcoming games and revealed that a PSP game called Higurashi Daybreak Portable is in the works, which appears to be a PSP port of the doujin game of the same name.

Toranoana’s free information booklet Toratsuu has announced that Trouble Witches 2 is currently in production, together with a with a serialized novel of Trouble Witches which will appear in the Toratsuu every month. The characters look really… plain this time.
