SWITCH starts official service
The previously reported Cave’s shooter with character designs by POP. Apparently it’s a cellphone based online shooter.

ITmedia reports that popular niconico performers Shachou, nayuta, Sandai guitar damashii, and Tissue hime will be performing on a TV commercial for the book version of the cellphone novel Kimi no sei.

Visual Art’s has started going into publishing light novels under the brand name “Issue”, and their first novel will be Meitantei shikaku na kanojo by Fushimi Tsukasa who wrote Ore no imouto ga konnani kawaii wake ga nai. A sample from the novel is available for download at the bottom of the page.

I realised there’s a new comment on the Haruhi season 2 post which was spreading crazy rumours, I don’t understand how far these rumours have gone, there must be a hundred different fake translations of the Newtype article or something to have created a monster rumour like that.

Comic Market is approaching its 35th year anniversary in 2010 and that means it’s time for Comiket Special 5! The theme this time is “community revitalization”, which basically means they’re looking for a town to host the event and the event will hopefully help to attract visitors into the host town.

They’re expecting the size of the event to have approximately 500~1000 circles and 3000~5000 visitors, but the size will be greatly affected by the distance between the town and the main city areas.

Comiket Special has become an event that gets held every 5 years as a special Comiket event, and special themes get picked each time. Such as “Resort Comiket” that was held in Okinawa in 2000 and “24 hour endurance Comiket” in 2005 which was a 24 hour long Comiket held in Ariake.

Eroge artist Nishimata Aoi has done an illustration for the packaging for JA-Ugo’s Akitakomachi rice packaging and she also created a mascot called “Ugono Ichigo-chan” for the strawberries that will be sold by the local Agricultural producers’ corporation.

The rice will go on sale starting on the 27th of September and the strawberries will go on sale in November.

Code Geass R2’s online streaming was a big success
Approximately 420,000 views for the first episode on biglobe and subsequent episodes maintained 230,000 to 250,000 views each. Bandai visual says it’s amazing because prior to this, their popular anime only got between 40,000 to 50,000 views per episode.

The official site for the game book series Queen’s Gate has announced on their official website that Shiranui Mai will be joining the line up on the 31st of October. The art is by Izumi Mahiru apparently. At this rate a Nakoruru book by “Empress of Comic Market” Nanase Aoi wouldn’t be too far off!

Speaking of which, Nanase Aoi started doing doujin again early this year, but I doubt there’re as many fans left as during her peak.
