Canned Dogs

Katatema, author of extremely wonderful freeware games such as Maou monogatari monogatari, has released a new puzzle game called Irisu syndrome. In this game you’re supposed to click on the falling fragments so the same coloured pieces bump into each other and disappear.

I love his puzzle games. The way he did the good end was awesome. I also love how he continued using the method of putting stuff about the story in the actual game directory, but I didn’t notice that the photo.png actually changes till I got to the final end.

Japanese site ManiaxZ made a nice list of the average TV viewership that was recorded in most of the TV anime that was made based on Shounen Jump manga.

The list isn’t complete but it has the data from most of the major Jump anime so far. Also to put the numbers in perspective, Code Geass R2 which was pretty popular recorded a highest of 4.0% in one episode, while Dr Slump recorded a highest of 36.9％ in one episode.

P.S. Three-san (amazon) is a manga by IKa which was originally posted online as a web comic but was recently published and sold in a book. The story is about this girl called PS3-san who is trying to become an idol, and her main rivals are Wii-san and Hakomaru-san (referring to the 360).

I couldn’t think of a way to introduce the manga effectively so I made everything easier by translating a few of the strips instead.

Yahoo Japan reports that the rice bags that were designed with an illustration from artist Nishimata Aoi have been selling incredibly well, 7 times of what they did last year in fact, and they had to stop taking orders as they were unable to keep up with the demand.

They usually receive about 120 orders in a month in previous years, and ship a total of approximately 1 tonne of rice, but this time they have received 1000 orders over 6 days, totalling over 7 tonnes of rice.

They hope to be able to reopen orders again on the 8th.

SWITCH starts official service
The previously reported Cave’s shooter with character designs by POP. Apparently it’s a cellphone based online shooter.

The new Dragonball 35 minute anime short that would be made for the Jump Super Anime Tour will apparently have Vegeta’s younger brother appearing in the story. The story takes place 2 years after Majin Buu and is completely written by Toriyama.

GPM studio is starting their alpha test for D.A.T.E online which is an adult online love simulation game. The game appears to play as an ADV game and largely focuses on the online dating aspects, with women playing female characters and guys playing male characters and having 1:1 chats.

The game apparently has a scenario with events that the players will follow which may lead to H scenes and finally an ending.

Korean online gaming news site thisisgame had a feature on the game with screenshots from the game and an interview with the developers.

I’m not sure if I can see any chance of success in this game.

ITmedia reports that popular niconico performers Shachou, nayuta, Sandai guitar damashii, and Tissue hime will be performing on a TV commercial for the book version of the cellphone novel Kimi no sei.

Macross Frontier movie was announced to be in the making in the final episode of Macross Frontier.
